Lol 😂
This makes me hate goh even more for even thinking he can catch Mewtwo at this stage.
Why?
Because he is the Gary Stu of Pokemon. No fight, no development worth mentioning, no struggle, no depth, no unseen power, no mystery backstory, no nothing of any sort. Goh is like that Self Insert character in the Pokemon verse, who has got a gamer ability. Catching all pokemons like breathing air, no training and yet his pokemons are fighting others who are far superior? He does not even come in the "Too OP to hate" character type.
Like where did that thought even come from ???? Catching all pokemon so that he can understand the thinking of each and get closer to Mew?? Even Ash who is always with Goh was surprised at where that came from, forget about us viewers who see this for first time.
Whoops! Now that you say it, and as a person who’s only started to seriously play pokemon (like seriously search about the pokemon stats in Scarlet/Violet)
It sure is weird how he can fight against a trained pokemon trainer even if you include an exp obtained from catching pokemon (+even if his caught pokemon coincidentally has good stats potential) it isn’ enough and he simply doesn’t have the experience as a pokemon battler.
I see your point.
So us old school players almost want to balk at the catching exp thing or the auto exp share. Didn't have any of that back in the day...
...
Though no lie, I do like that they're trying to make the games a bit less grind-y than before.
it came from pokemon go. that's where it came from. he's literally pokemon go.
the no fight, no development, no struggle and no depth feels like you didnt even watch the anime.. you just came to complain like a little puss here. lol
Cuz all my homies hate goh🤷♂️💯
Lol 😂 that’s sure something
So Mewtwo is the strongest pokemon huh?
Pretty much. 1v1 even with a slightly higher stat total Arceus probably loses that fight 9/10. Attack or Speed form deoxys maybe, but still relatively unlikely due to Deoxys's low health and the defense form would go down quickly. Beyond that, Mewtwo runs circles around every other 'mon
Yeah you dufus.
I was not expecting a fight with Mewtwo lol, I am surprised Pikachu got knocked out really soon and Cinderace was able to last the whole fight.
people asking about Goh being too op is so weird like he's literally the representative of pokemon go in the game. Did they forget that thing happened like a few years ago? I remember everyone just catching pokemon there, never fighting them unless it's raids.
Go in a nutshell:"hey look eternatus go normal pokeball *catches it*
Everyone watching:"what in the world howwww like wth you couldn't even catch zapdos with that and now you catch eternamax eternatus!?!?!?!"
Tbh ik eternatus is op but it would've been soo cool to see it in the last episode having go trading it to Ash and Ash fighting with it like they could've nerfed it like they did to Pikachu but having it sealed is so stupid
I get Ash catching Pikachu but why is Goh attempting to catch Aceburn when they are nearly equal in size?
Did they start with the three starter pokemons of every region??
I wonder if Mewtwo reminded of these two as Red if it’s the same pokemon.
So I know that the movies aren't really canon to the main story, but given that the mewtwo of the show was explicitly the side pilot for the first movie, I have to assume that its the same one, so if anything it would recognize Ash. This is semi corroborated by the fact that Ash recognized Mewtwo, who by all accounts isn't an entity that most people are aware of (don't think he has a proper dex entry in the series)
